The arm straps have plenty of cushion, the back support is just enough, and its the buckles make it a "snap" to put on. I can carry my 10month old daughter(20lbs) around for hours. I do think the Ergo is better if you plan to wear baby for long periods of time. Just make sure it is the Ergo Original.
